From the Nominator: What sets Orlando apart is his unwavering commitment to putting students at the center of every decision. Despite constant changes, evolving policies, and the pressures of launching a new program, he approaches every challenge with thoughtfulness, adaptability, and a solutions-oriented mindset. He is not only responsive to student needs but anticipates them, ensuring students feel supported, informed, and confident in their path to a bachelor’s degree. Orlando is also a leader within our team. He models what excellent student support looks like, elevates those around him, and contributes meaningfully to shaping our program’s direction. Students consistently credit Orlando as a key factor in their persistence and success, both within the program and in ultimately earning their degree.
