We invite any Colorado high schools, Colorado colleges and universities, or organizations whose mission and/or work is to foster and encourage cooperation to promote higher education within the state of Colorado. You can view membership eligibility under the corresponding tabs for High School Members, College Members, or Organization Members.

 High School Membership Benefits

  • Attend Counselor Workshops at the Member rate
  • Attend Annual Conference at the Member rate
  • Eligible for a variety of grants, scholarships, and awards offered by CCHS/CR
  • Participate in committees of the Council
  • Eligible to host a Day/Night College Fair
  • Eligible for elected positions within Council
  • Eligible to vote for Executive Committee candidates

High School Membership Eligibility (Includes Public Area Technical Colleges):

  • Public (including public charter) schools operated by a school district within the State of Colorado.
  • Private or parochial schools which operate a main campus in Colorado which is owned and operated by a duly recognized corporation or organization authorized by the State of Colorado.  The organization must be accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools or approved by the Executive Committee.
  • Public Area Technical Colleges operated by a public school district in Colorado.
  • Must agree to abide by the National Associate for College Admission Counseling’s (NACAC) Statement of Principles of Good Practice, as adopted by the Council. 

 College/University Membership Benefits

  • Participate in the college updates portion of Counselor Workshops and attend at the Member rate
  • Attend Annual Conference at the Member rate
  • Participate in Day/Night college fairs for no additional cost
  • Complimentary pages for each Member college included in the Colorado Collegiate Handbook  
  • Participate in committees of the Council
  • Eligible to host a Day/Night College Fair
  • Eligible for elected positions within Council
  • Eligible to vote for Executive Committee candidates

College/University Membership Eligibility:

  • Any not-for-profit college or university that operates a campus in Colorado and that is regionally accredited by Middle States Association of Schools and Colleges, New England Association of Schools and Colleges, North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges, Southern Association of Schools and Colleges, or Western Association of Schools and Colleges
  • Two-year colleges offering Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, or Associate of General Studies degrees whose credits transfer to Colorado Council member colleges and universities
  • Colleges or universities offering baccalaureate or higher degrees whose credits transfer to Colorado Council member colleges and universities

 Associate Membership Benefits

  • Participate in committees of the Council

Associate Membership Eligibility:

Membership may be extended to interested organizations or individuals representing Colorado-based organizations that: 

  • Foster and encourage volunteer cooperation between collegiate institutions, secondary schools, organizations and individuals who promote higher education within the State of Colorado
  • Promote ethical standards of conduct in the relationships of personnel in both collegiate institutions and secondary schools
  • Have a vested interest in providing or encouraging educational opportunities such as free scholarship access, educational skill development, information and resources about higher education and professional development
  • Must agree to abide by the National Associate for College Admission Counseling’s (NACAC) Statement of Principles of Good Practice, as adopted by the Council.
