Hello all! I have exciting information, including student scholarship opportunities and a request.
Educating Children of Color, Inc., a non-profit in Colorado, will host its 18th annual Summit on Saturday, January 25th, at the brand new Trojan Arena at Fountain Fort Carson High School.
The summit provides a unique opportunity for educators, juvenile justice professionals, and child welfare professionals to enhance their ability to retain and inspire the students they serve. This year, ECOC will be offering a CLDE track.
In addition to professionals, this summit is open to students and the adults in their lives! Students in the 8th through 12th grades are highly encouraged to attend. There are a lot of career exploration sessions, from Culinary Arts to Zoology. ECOC has $88,500 in scholarships, which will be awarded at the Summit. The deadline for all scholarships is midnight on December 31st! Please see flyer.
Registration is still open - https://www.educatingchildrenofcolor.org/ecocsummit
REQUEST - College/University partners: We would love the opportunity to provide all participants with a swag item. If you are able to send any swag for us to give away, we would greatly appreciate it. Please contact me at the following email - [email protected]
Happy last week of school!
