Dear Colorado Council,
My name is Lisa Ly & I was a recipient of your scholarship in 2006. Thank you for investing in my education at Colorado College. I graduated with a double major in International Political Economics & Asian Studies.
During my 4 years at CC, I studied abroad twice in China, met amazing professors and students, and also conducted an independent research on Chinese American hybrid identities in San Francisco and New York City. The research contributed to my senior thesis which ended up 74 pages.
I am the first in my family to graduate with a college degree. It was an amazing journey! So what happens next? I have a summer internship with the Art Students League of Denver as the Marketing Assistant. After my internship, I will be starting a 9 month position with the Office of Minority Life & International Studies at CC as the program coordinator. I hope to attend law school in 2-3 years. I have not decided which area of law. The opportunities are endless!
