Get Involved

Becoming a member of the Colorado Council is a meaningful way to contribute in the effort to help Colorado students prepare and apply for college. It's also a great way to network with other high school counselors and college admission staff throughout the state, and to be "in-the-know" on current local and state issues related to our field.

Because of the diverse nature of the organization, there are many ways to get involved in an area that's right for you. The majority of work is accomplished in the committees. Membership on each committee ranges from a few to as many as 15 and are typically a blend of high school counselors and college admission staff. That balance is what makes the meetings and events so successful and fun. For those new to the profession, this is a great opportunity to get on a first-name basis with others who have years of experience, many of whom are well-known in the field and can be a valuable resource to you professionally.

Committee members must be members of The Colorado Council either as an employee of a member high school or college, or as an associate member.
