Obtaining Graduate Credit for Attendance

Workshops and graduate credit are possible thanks to collaboration with two other not-for-profit organizations, The Professional Development Institute (PDI) and Rocky Mountain Association of College Admission Counseling (RMACAC), both of whom support the professional development of high school counselors.

There are two ways to gain credit for the Fall Counselor Workshops and the December Annual Conference of the Colorado Council on High School/College Relations. Returning counselors please note the changes to our requirements!

CDE In-service/Professional Development Credit (No charge) One-half credit is given for attending one day of the Fall Workshops. At the end of the day, the attendee is requested to fill out spreadsheet at a designated table with his/her name, school, city, email, and phone number. A certificate will be mailed electronically. One-half credit is given for attending both the afternoon of the first day and the morning of the second day of the December Conference, which is the maximum in-service credit for the December Conference.

Adams State College Credit ($60 Fee) One Adams State College credit is given to individuals who attend one day of the Fall Workshops, the afternoon of the first day of the December Conference, and the morning of the second day of the December Conference. At the end of the December Conference the attendee is requested to fill out an Adams State College registration form and class list, pay $60 (by check or credit card), and write a 2-page reaction paper (instructions will be given) on both the Fall Workshop and the December Conference. Registration forms, class list, and checks are mailed to Adams State. When the papers are received by email and graded by the instructor (approximately two weeks after the conference), a grade list is then mailed to Adams State so that they may assign the proper credit. Transcript requests are made directly to Adams State.
