This was the second consecutive year that the Annual Conference was held in Colorado Springs and despite some bad weather on Thursday, we still had over 400 high school counselors and college admissions folks attend the event! The conference received glowing evaluations on the overall number of breakout sessions offered as well for providing the best mix yet of sessions for high school counselors and college admissions folks.
Joseph Garcia, President of Colorado State University - Pueblo and co-chair of the P-20 Task Force, kicked off the conference on Thursday with updates on the issues facing education in the state and how the P-20 committee is working to address them. Thursday evening concluded with packed tables at Casino Night and $700 in gift cards being awarded to the lucky winners!
Corey Ciocchetti, professor at the University of Denver, wrapped up the conference on Friday with a humorous and inspirational talk on living an authentic life and dealing with stress.
Overall, the conference was a tremendous success and we look forward to bringing it back to Denver next year. We hope to see you there!
